Volunteer

Our school would not be in existence without the tremendous amount of volunteer hours contributed by parents on a monthly  basis. As a Charter School, we receive the same education funds as a traditional district public school. However, unlike a traditional public school, we must also pay for our school building out of these funds.  The limited public funds just do not cover the “extras” included in our curriculum. If not for parent volunteer hours and donations, we would not be able to keep our renowned educational programs and our incredible faculty.

Current Volunteer Opportunities include:

  • All-School Work Days: October 16 & November 6 between 8am-1pm. Help build the Hurlbut Ave Fence! No prior skills needed. If you have a cordless drill or skill saw, please bring it. Otherwise, hope you can make it for our work days.
  • Help build a Gazebo for our special education students. We are expecting it in early October and will plan a day to construct it. If you are interested, please email Carrie at [email protected]
  • Volunteer for the monthly Walk and Roll to School program. Tally the number of children who bike, walk or carpool to school. That’s it! It’s a great way to meet the community and encourage children to take alternative transportation to school.
  • 7th & 8th Grade Boys (and Girls in January) Basketball coaches. Practices will be held on Sunday mornings and Games will take place on Monday and Wednesday afternoons in Sebastopol at the Community Church. The first Games are being scheduled for the week of October 25th. The season would wrap up the week of December 17th for playoffs. Please either email [email protected] or call the office if interested.
