Chris Topham - Executive Director

Chris joined Sebastopol Charter in 2013. Prior to arriving, Chris served as the Lower School Coordinator at Summerfield Waldorf School, an administrative role that he stepped into after 15 years of teaching which included teaching a class grades 6-8 and another class grades 1-8. He began his teaching career as a Waldorf class teacher at Novato Charter School when the school was founded in 1996 and where he taught a class 4th to 8th grade.

Chris has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Pepperdine University, Master of Arts in Education Leadership from Sonoma State University, a California Public School Teaching Credential from Dominican University, Waldorf Education Teaching Credential from Rudolf Steiner College and an Education Administration Services Credential from Sonoma State University.

John Azzizzi - Business Manager

John arrived at Sebastopol Charter in 2013 after most recently serving in finance and operations leadership roles in the nonprofit sector. Prior to pursuing graduate studies in education, psychology, and philosophy, he was an international business executive with General Electric leading and serving in various management capacities. 

John is a certified Waldorf teacher having completed his training at Rudolf Steiner College in their San Francisco program where he received his MA in Waldorf Education. He also holds a BA in Economics from Yale University, an MA in Philosophy and Religion from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and a certificate from the Universidad de Sevilla where he studied abroad. John has lived and worked in Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong and traveled widely before settling down in northern California. 

John also provides business services support for Live Oak and Novato Charter Schools.

Carrie Vazquez - Operations Manager

Carrie began with Sebastopol Charter School in 2013, shortly after moving to Sebastopol from San Francisco. She comes from a management, marketing and administrative background. Carrie received her Bachelors of Science degree in Human Services Management and also studied Anthropology and Business. She has been deeply committed to Waldorf education since 2009 when her daughter was born. During the summers you can find Carrie climbing up mountains, exploring the beaches, back country camping, or at one of the National Parks. In the meantime, she enjoys baking, crocheting, gardening, sewing, and practicing Kundalini Maha yoga meditation. 

Jeff Lough - Student Support Services Director/School Psychologist

Jeff Lough grew up Southern California. After teaching special education in the Los Angeles Unified School District he began his career as a school psychologist. Later Jeff became the co-creator and principal of Mariposa School of Global Education, a Waldorf-Inspired Public School in Agoura Hills, CA. Jeff relocated with his wife and 3 children to Humboldt county where he returned to school psychology and became a faculty member in the Department of Psychology Graduate Program at Humboldt State University. Jeff and his wife, Tracy, also ran Forest and Farm School, an outdoor early childhood education program on their rural homestead in Humboldt County, Ca. Currently Jeff serves as a board member on the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education and in 2019 Jeff began as the Student Support Services Director and School Psychologist at Sebastopol Independent Charter School. In his role, Jeff oversees the Response to Intervention Program (RTI), counseling services, and special education program. His enthusisasm for supporting the academic development and mental health of Sebastopol Charter Students is palpable!

Linden Fye - Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Linden's desire to work with children began when she was a child herself. Finding school fun and safe, she wanted to be a life-long student! As a Bay Area native, Linden attended Las Positas Junior College in Livermore and transferred to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Supporting her love of children, she focused on children's books and received a bachelors degree in illustration/fine art. Linden relocated to Sonoma county and began early childhood training at the Santa Rosa junior college while working Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm as an after-care teacher and early childhood assistant. In 2018 she graduated from the Center For Education Renewal with a Waldorf Teacher Ceritfication. Linden is now happily married with two beautiful boys!
